Sowing and Reaping

Sowing and Reaping

Just keep on sowing, harvest time is coming!

Are you getting tired of waiting? Do you feel like all your hard work and effort are in vain?

Are you starting to compare yourself with other people?

Have you come to a point of questioning yourself like, “Why does this person have a car already?”, “How come he’s earning so much already?” or “When will my time come?” Familiar, right? I’ve been there.

It’s time to ask yourself:
Are you sowing good or bad seeds? Are you sowing generosity or stinginess? Are we sowing hard work or laziness? Are we sowing love or hate? It’s only you who can honestly answer those questions.

The principle of sowing and reaping is definitely and always true! If you sow something then you can be sure you will reap something. We may not know when, but for sure there will be a time of harvest.

Here are 3 things that you can do while waiting:
1. KEEP ON SOWING/PLANTING.

Just keep on sowing. Keep going and never ever stop. The seed you sow don’t die. Focus on sowing and in due time you will reap something. Know for a fact that the harvest is the natural product of seeds sown. Your main role is to keep sowing and trust God that He will send the rain to make your seeds grow.

2. CULTIVATE YOUR GARDEN.

Develop your gifts. Take care of it, water it everyday! Be busy doing what you do best. Remove toxic things. Focus on your self-growth. The moment you grow, mature and start making progress, all other things follow.

Take care of your own needs before trying to take care of others. Remember that before you look into the growth of other people, you should be focusing on your self-growth too. That means doing a self-check. We might be so busy looking at other people’s mistakes that we become blind to our own.

2. ENJOY THE PROCESS.

Whatever it is you are trying to accomplish, you should learn to enjoy the process. Watch out for dangerous mindsets and negative emotions that can set in. Wait for the plant to grow and wait for it to bear fruit at the appointed time. God knows when the exact time of your harvest will be. What’s important is that when that time comes, God finds us ready for His blessings.

Exciting, right?

Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
