Your daily dose of wisdom

Pride will cost us everything and leave us with nothing!

Pride will always be the longest distance between two people. It will destroy your relationship with others.

Pride is concerned with WHO is right. Humility is concerned with WHAT is right.

How can we know if we have pride?

1. You don't listen to other people anymore. You're close-minded already. Whatever explanation other people will give you, you don't accept or listen to it anymore.

2. We are always right. We don't see that we can also make mistakes.

3. We have forgotten that God is the one Who has given us everything and that everything is just temporary.

4. We are not thankful to the people who helped us reach success. A small mistake replaced all the support or help that was given to us.

It says in 1 Corinthians 13:13, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”.

All actions have consequences if we are filled with pride. If we can replace pride with love, we can all be happy and peaceful. Love always wins!

Power can make a person proud.

Were you given an opportunity to lead an organization or a team? If yes, that's a privilege and a big responsibility!

Why do we need to handle power with humility?

1. POWER IS ENTRUSTED TO US.

While we have the chance to lead, be a good and trustworthy leader who will impact others. We were given the opportunity to have power and make a difference. Let's not waste the influence given to us to serve our own interests or for personal gain.

2. PROMOTION COMES FROM THE LORD.

Let's not forget that He placed us in the position that we are in today. Although we have been given authority and influence, we still have a Boss and we are accountable to Him for all our actions and decisions. If we are not careful, it's possible that with power, pride can come in our hearts and minds without us noticing it.

Lead with humility. Let us leave a positive and lasting legacy.

Dreams don’t work... unless you do something!

The law of action beats the law of attraction all the time! More action, less talk. Set your goals and be persistently consistent with it.

Always remember, be hardworking with the right attitude. God sees our efforts and hardwork, even if no one else does! No more, no less!

All the challenges, exhaustion, sleepless nights or even hunger that you have experienced will not matter anymore because our goals and dreams are more important than any challenge that you have faced.

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”.

Always give your best! Don't limit yourself because God sees everything that you do. And someday, you’ll just say this to yourself, "It's great to always give your best!”

Keep in mind: you don't experience regret in the beginning. It's always in the end.

Never stop learning!

We still have so many things to learn - new techniques about life, business or new destinations, new language, etc. If we are willing to learn, we will never run out of new things to learn.

How can we do that?

1. BE HUMBLE

Always remember, no matter how long we have been in our profession, be humble enough to admit that we do not know everything. Results speak for itself!

2. DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK

Asking a question is not a sign of weakness. Sometimes we don't like asking questions because we feel shy or we have pride in us. Look for successful people and ask about their success stories.

3. BE TEACHABLE

It's difficult to teach someone who doesn't like to learn. No matter how skilled your mentor is, if we are not teachable, we will not progress. As they say, EXPERIENCE teaches only the TEACHABLE. We have to keep an open mind.

Always have a teachable attitude, be humble to ask questions and surely, you will experience progress and be successful.

Pass on the kindness

There are so many things that can be passed on to others everyday. It can be material things like a car, house or money. It can also be a virus or sickness like cough or colds. We can also pass on wrong information about other people, blaming others or gossip about them. If there's something that we need to pass on to others, what would it be?

1. RIGHT INFORMATION

There are so many relationships ruined because of passing the wrong information. Sometimes, the information that we pass have already been altered into a different version which can cause relationships to be broken. That's why, it's better that only the people involved or who knows the real information should be the ones to talk.

2. GOOD WORD

Let's avoid speaking words that can destroy or hurt others. A simple encouragement will greatly help someone.

3. KINDNESS

It is contagious. Try to avoid getting mad when someone is already mad. Every act of kindness creates a ripple with no end. That's been proven.

If we are going to pass something to someone, let us make sure that it is inspiring, encouraging and motivating. If not, just be silent.
